Our authentically-sourced Lemon Myrtle is pure, and comes directly from the coastal rainforests of Eastern Australia. It contains the higest purity or citral in all of the citrus fruits and herbs and has a refreshing lemon-lime flavour.
Pure lemon myrtle has been utilised as a medicinal herb in Australia for hundreds of years - and for very good reason. The exceptionally high concentration of citral present in lemon myrtle leaves make them useful for the relief or treatment of infections and viruses, inflammation and to boost the immune system. Lemon Myrtle is also anti-microbial, antibiotic, antiseptic, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and high in both antioxidants and vitamin C.
Lemon Myrtle is also known for its strong flavour and when brewed it produces a naturally caffeine-free infusion with a refreshing lemon-lime taste which may be enjoyed hot or cold.
To Enjoy
Place 1-2 teaspoons per cup into an infuser, filter or teapot. Add freshly boiled water and infuse for 2-3 minutes. May be served with honey.
