A fragrant jasmine scented white tea, Jasmine Silver Needles marries the delicate taste of white tea with the scent of jasmine blossoms. Packed with antioxidants and often low in caffeine, this tea is refreshing and energising.

The beautiful, distinctive leaves of Jasmine Silver Needles are some of the rarest and most distinctive available. Silver needles is a white tea formed from a very special cultivar of tea plant that produces long, thin, downy tea leaves and hand-picked in the very first days of the season, slightly hand-rolled and slowly dried for the sweetest, most fragrant white tea infusion.

This jasmine white tea is created naturally by scattering pure jasmine blossoms over the freshly picked and shaped needles before drying and then left to absorb the scent naturally. The result is a delicate, fragrant jasmine infusion which is delectable, balanced and slightly sweet.

About Jasmine Silver Needles

Jasmine Silver Needles is a type of scented tea that combines the delicate flavors of Silver Needle white tea with the sweet and fragrant essence of jasmine flowers. This tea is known for its exquisite aroma, subtle sweetness, and the visual beauty of its downy silver buds.

The base tea is Silver Needle white tea, which is made from the young, unopened tea buds of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. Silver Needle is prized for its downy, silvery buds and a delicate, slightly sweet flavor.

Jasmine Silver Needles undergoes a scenting process where the Silver Needle tea leaves are infused with the fragrance of jasmine flowers. This is often done by layering the tea leaves with fresh jasmine flowers during the processing, allowing the tea to absorb the floral aroma.

The combination of Silver Needle's natural sweetness and the floral notes from jasmine creates a well-balanced and nuanced flavor profile. Jasmine Silver Needles is known for its light and refreshing taste, with a subtle sweetness and a lingering jasmine fragrance.

The aroma of Jasmine Silver Needles is a key highlight. The tea offers a captivating and aromatic bouquet, primarily dominated by the pleasant and distinctive scent of jasmine. The aroma is an essential part of the overall sensory experience.

The dry tea leaves are characterized by the silvery, downy buds of Silver Needle, and may also have visible jasmine flowers or petals. The brewed liquor is typically light in colour, ranging from pale yellow to golden.

Jasmine Silver Needles, like other white teas, generally contains lower caffeine levels compared to black or green teas. This makes it a suitable choice for those looking for a tea with a milder stimulant effect.

Jasmine Silver Needles retains the potential health benefits associated with white tea, including antioxidants and polyphenols. The addition of jasmine is believed by some to offer calming and aromatherapeutic effects.

Jasmine Silver Needles can be enjoyed on its own or paired with light snacks. It is often served hot but can also be enjoyed as an iced tea during warmer months.
